Senior Geophysicist.
-
Develop technical and cost approaches for proposals that relate to both terrestrial and underwater geophysical surveys

Prepare and/or review work plans and QAPP’s for geophysical surveys
-
Work closely with Project Managers and project teams to ensure geophysical surveys are performed in accordance with plans and governing specifications, attend project meetings and engage with customers
-
Work with subcontractors/vendors to identify and secure required equipment and services to plan and conduct geophysical surveys
-
Supervise subcontractors and teams performing traditional DGM and AGC data collection activities and provide quality control of all processes and data products to ensure quality metrics are achieved

Prepare and/or review geophysical survey reports

Perform other duties as assigned to support the Munitions Response Division
Requirements:
-
A minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to the geophysical mapping, detection, and discrimination of buried military munitions

Meeting all requirements listed for Experienced Personnel in EM 200-1-15 related to a Senior Geophysicist

Previous experience with both traditional DGM and AGC processes and sensors (Metal Mapper, MPV, Ultra TEM)

Knowledge of the Munitions Response Quality Assurance Project Plan (MR QAPP) Toolkit Module 1: Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study

Experience in designing MEC characterization approaches for MMRP RI in accordance with current USACE and DOD guidance including EM200-1-15 and the MR QAPP toolkit

Ability to develop well written technical approaches, reports, and correspondence to effectively communicate within project teams

High level of proficiency using all Microsoft applications that include Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams

Proficiency with GIS, VSP, Geosoft database, and other applicable software and programs

Must be able to obtain and maintain military base pass as required

Travel required: Able and willing to travel up to 25% to perform pre-proposal and project-related site visits. Other travel (meetings, conference attendance, etc.) will depend on the needs of the company.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in geophysics, geology, geological engineering, or a closely related field.
