Systems Administrator

Job Summary:

The System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. Installing hardware and software, participating in reach to continuously improve, and keeping up to date with the IT business needs of the organization. The System Administrator will actively resolve problems and issues with the computer and server system to limit work disruptions within the company.

Responsibilities:

Manage and administer Microsoft 365 workplace including Exchange, Defender, Intune, and associated apps working with vendors and licensing
Responsible for maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, and network servers
Manage user accounts and hardware inventory
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of the issues.
Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved promptly with limited disruptions
Support 3rd party application relationships with various vendors
Research and advise administration of new technologies
Work with other support teams in managing existing technologies
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
3 to 5 years of experience preferred
Strong knowledge of systems, hardware, and protocols
A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
