Analytical Scientist

Job Description

The incumbent will carry out analytical experiments in the Hilversum Global Centre of Excellence for Fabric Care both on known and unknown fragrance compositions. The role partners with key technical and creative partners (perfumers, evaluators) to deliver insight into fragrance compositions and how they are delivered especially in fabric care applications. This position is based in the same team as the other Analytical Scientist I we are recruiting for. This is a temporary position for one year which can be extended to two. Responsibilities

Help with the reconstruction unknown fragrances based on analytical, olfaction and supplementary data
Carry out analyses on known fragrances in and delivered by consumer products, especially in fabric care applications
Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Organize Olfactive evaluations

Required experience

Essential

Bachelor or Master in analytical chemistry or organic chemistry
Minimum of 1 year experience in performing GC/MS analyses

Preferred

Experience in the Fragrance/Flavor industry or Fast Moving Consumer Goods environment, or forensic science
Extraction Skills
Perfume ingredient knowledge (and of their chemical behavior)
Olfactive skills
