Automotive Engine Oil and Electric Vehicle OEM Manager 
 
 
This position manages the Global Automotive Engine Oil and Electric Vehicle Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Liaison Team which is responsible for managing external relationships with OEM’s and external industry groups.  The OEM team has a critical role in defining Automotive engine oils and driveline strategies by identifying and translating trends into future lubricant technology and product needs.  The team is also responsible for developing collaboration opportunities, negotiating with OEM’s, and advocating in industry forums.  The position requires strong supervision and leadership skills in managing a diverse global team. 
 
 
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: 
  • Supervise and lead global team of OEM and industry liaisons (set expectations, coach, remove barriers, and give/receive feedback)
  • Develop global OEM AEO, driveline (ATF/ETF/AGO), and EV POV and proactive strategies
  • Lead internal meetings to define industry positions and update strategies
  • Build and foster OEM relationships, engagement plans, and influencing
  • Drive industry in direction to support business strategies
  • Ability to advocate, negotiate, and develop consensus at OEMs and diverse industry committees with multiple stakeholders
  • Identify and communicate trends and industry drivers for future additive technologies and products
  • Maintain up to date trend presentations
  • Maintain database of OEM specifications, trends, and trip reports
  • Obtain OEM acceptance/approval of new technologies and products
  • Proactively collaborate with peers and stakeholders including other OEM team members, AEO and driveline formulators, product line management, and sales
  • Understand key customer strategies to ensure alignment or explain divergent positions
 
 
Required Qualifications: 
  • BS or higher in mechanical/chemical engineering, tribology, or chemistry required.
  • English fluency and ability to communicate with non-native English speakers.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic and international)
 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience with Automotive OEM and industry committees and knowledge of engine and driveline (gear, transmission, and electric vehicle) hardware and lubricant additive formulations.
  • Experience managing global teams.
