The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing quality rehabilitative occupational therapy under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist. Clients primarily have conditions involving musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and psychiatric deficiencies. Promote excellent customer service while adhering to state and federal regulations. Qualifications
One year experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility required. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain rapport with the patient and family, and to work well with an interdisciplinary team.
Educational Requirements
Successful completion of a college program for Certification Occupational Therapy Assistants that leads to an Associate Degree that has been approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
