Construction Manager  KIN00BO

Position Summary:
The Construction Manager plans, directs and coordinates construction projects (large and small capital) to ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide constructability input into the design that optimizes the field construction effort.
  • Responsible for overall management and coordination of construction for the project to maximize productivity and maintain cost and schedule. 
  • Develops contingency and recovery plans as required. 
  • Monitor’s tool and equipment performance and utilization; provides continuous improvement input and strategy development.
  • Requires knowledge of construction techniques and equipment in order to develop strategies and manage overall quality and efficiency to ensure performance objectives are maintained.
  • Develops forecast for resource needs and assignment of resources in accordance with schedule expectations.
  • Requires knowledge of Advanced Work Packing (AWP) process to ensure effective project execution.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require a significant degree of innovation and ingenuity.
  • Manages all on-site functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the Company.
  • Develops procedures as needed and functions as liaison between multiple client representatives. 
  • Responsible for safety of supervised personnel; ensures that personnel comply with established safety policies and procedures and has front line responsibility for providing a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for quality performance; ensures that work is executed with a high degree of quality and ensures that personnel comply with established quality policies and procedures.
  • 15+ years experience as a Construction Manager in an industrial construction and/or maintenance organization is required
  • BS or MS degree is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Professional Engineering certification in related discipline is preferred
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
