Consultant – State & Local Government 
Manager – Tax and Finance Operate (TFO) & Global Operations – Transition & Transformation 
 
Key responsibilities 
  
Skills and attributes for success 
• Work with client and internal team to develop the transition scope of services related to moving the function from the client environment to company. This includes but is not limited to knowledge transfer, facility, technology and tool implementation, identification of data requirements, process changes and day 1 readiness criteria 
• Coordinate with the subservice line transition leads in all relevant subservice lines to build out a detailed work plan (ITS, BTC, Global Direct, Indirect, etc.) 
• Work with program management office (PMO), talent team and facility teams to determine relevant staffing and facility workspace requirements 
• Work with PMO and TFO team to develop a detailed budget and timeline for all transition activities and closely monitor both throughout the transition process 
• Facilitate the early and effective resolution of escalated issues 
• Provide proactive risk mitigation, problem prevention and resolution, and open and active communications between the client and EY TFO team 
• Facilitate the client’s and EY’s ability to fulfill their respective commitments and obligations under the statement of work (SOW) 
• Consistently communicate between key players on the client and EY team to ensure smooth transition and completeness of agreed-to TFO services 
  
To qualify for the role, you must have 
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferably with an emphasis in accounting or finance (graduate degree in accounting preferred) as well as a CPA license or equivalent 
• Minimum of 6 years work experience in an accounting, financial analysis or financial services environment 
• Strong team, project management, and people development skills with an ability to work under tight deadlines 
• Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours as necessary 
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, as well as a strong problem solving ability , an attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial approach to work 
• Strong organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements 
• Previous work in current state/future state transformation (transition) preferred  
• Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and propriety nature of client relationships and related work products 
• Take ownership of tasks and have the ability to make decisions while demonstrating a strong ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines 
• Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery; keep team members informed of work status; actively seek assignments when unassigned; challenge traditional procedures used in the past; and attempt to find new approaches and process improvements opportunities 
• Coach/mentor junior team members to help company continue to build an inclusive culture and high performing team
