Corporate Finance – Firmwide Forecasting: Operations Senior Associate 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Communication: With end users of our financial reporting applications, leverage written and verbal communication skills to understand and triage their issues while often translating the nature of the issues to both senior leadership and Technology partners for troubleshooting, prioritization, and resolution.
  • Issue Remediation: Support the closure of internally and externally driven remediation efforts (e.g., management and regulatory presentations, ad-hoc analyses, and data cleanse activities).
  • Financial Data Analysis & Integrity:  Understand workflow, data flow, financial reporting concepts/consumption/calculations/aggregations, application design and data drill-through/analysis in order to troubleshoot issues and ensure that book of record for financial plan/forecast is complete and accurate.
  • Generating Process Efficiencies:  Critical review of existing processes and change requests for improvements in cost models, speed-to-market, inherent risk, and human capital impacts.  The candidate should be able to drive for understanding of the value-add for the processes that they manage and lead process improvements on a continual basis.
  • Issue Monitoring and Tracking:  Ensuring system, data, and user issues and inquiries are captured in appropriate reporting tools to support the collection, remediation, and metric generation for system health KPIs.
  • Issue and Inquiry Resolution:  The individual in this role will monitor issue metrics and prepare root cause analysis to identify and implement steps to reduce inquiry/issue occurrence and manage the monthly reconciliation process between controlling systems. This process includes identifying, explaining, and assessing key performance metrics as well as data quality issues.
  • Data Sourcing:  Interaction with data provider surrounding SLA enforcement, issue resolution, error research, data reconciliation, etc.
  • Relationship Management:  Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Finance and Line of business partners, facilitate effective communication, and work with business teams to assess needs, understand requirements and syndicate solutions. Partner with the Firm-wide Economic Scenario (FES) Team to set a schedule for the publication of corporate MEVs for both regulatory (CCAR, CECL, IFRS, etc.) and internal (budget, outlook, risk appetite, etc.) scenarios
  • Setting Strategic Direction:  Understand the business drivers that impact current processes with a focus on delivering against future objectives/changes that span the business, operations and technologies that provide the platform for the application and/or process.
  • People Development:  Invest time in developing team members, whether as manager or co-worker, to build trust, proficiency, and knowledge to create opportunities for the individual and the organization to grow.
Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/institution, advanced degree, and/or certifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in a financial analysis, business analysis, and/or operations role
  • Experience in navigating multiple systems and complex finance/technical infrastructure, especially in Alteryx or other ETL tools
  • Background in economic forecasting, regulatory reporting (e.g., FRB Reporting) or Macroeconomic Variables an advantage

  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships with business, operations, and technology stakeholders
  • Ability to drive / support change is a must
  • Very strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with ability to synthesize large data sets and identify targeted, crisp messages
  • Very strong time management skills with the ability to support multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Detailed and precise while working with financial data
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment on multiple projects with tight timelines while keeping management and key stakeholders appropriately updated
  • High proficiency with the Microsoft Office Product Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data analysis (Python, SQL, MS Access, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience implementing projects within the Agile project management methodology is a plus
  • Willingness to learn to manage relationships across global, diverse Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations senior managers and relevant subject matter expert (SME) populations
