Electrical engineer 
Job Description 
Under direction and guidance, your responsibilities will include: 
  • Providing engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of project challenges
  • Providing electrical design support of Company’s design projects during construction, (such as addressing contractor RFIs, submittals, etc.), and providing technical reviews and comments on designs completed by others, as applicable
  • Providing conceptual, preliminary and detailed design deliverables, including but not limited to: drawings, technical specifications, opinions of probable construction costs, construction schedules, etc.
  • Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
  • Preparation of thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
  • Continuous improvement of job-related, engineering technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
  • Development of effective oral and written communication skills
  • Maintaining accurate records and files
  • Supporting the company’s goals and representing the company positively and professionally
Candidate Specification 
To be considered for the electrical engineer position, we welcome applications from candidates with the following criteria: 
  • Successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • PE licensure is preferred; however candidates who have previously passed the FE and are Engineers In Training (EIT’s) and are committed to pursuing licensure when legally able will also be given consideration
  • 5-10 years of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering
  • Modelling software experience including REVIT, SKM or ETAP is preferred, but not required
  • A genuine interest in engineering design related to Electrical Engineering, preferably in support of water/wastewater infrastructure, vertical facilities, and transportation projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and directing/managing the work completed by others, including subconsultant team members
  • Organized and a self-starter
  • Effective in both verbal and written communications
