Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities 
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for representing the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. You will be responsible for creating basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer, develop specifications, system narratives and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes. 
Additional responsibilities include: 
  • Establish system application, design and operational parameters / sequences under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer
  • Participate in / Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
  • Assist senior engineer and/or senior designer in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports
  • Assist the senior engineer / senior designer in processing RFI’s, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda
Job Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in electrical discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a consulting firm
  • REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience
  • Experience with medium voltage
  • Possesses basic understanding of proper system selection
  • Exhibits thorough understanding of applicable codes
  • Knowledge of SKM Software and ability to perform Short Circuit coordination and Arch Flash Studies, highly preferred
  • Exhibits basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principals to building designs
  • EIT or PE highly preferred; or ability and desire to obtain such credentials
