Maintenance Working Lead 
The primary focus of the Maintance Working Lead is to to be the primary technical resource for tooling troubleshooting, preventative maintenance execution, and tooling fabrication/machining and integration. The Maintenance Working Lead will work directly on process improvement projects to optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) attainment and eliminate process waste. 
  
Your Impact: 
  • Responsible for tool and die preventative maintenance execution on key production lines (press tools, rollforming, press brake tooling)
  • Responsible for NPI (new product introduction) tooling development and fabrication support
  • OEE / Machine Availability
  • Preventative Maintenance Schedule Attainment
  • Manages technical tooling NPI projects within rollforming, press area, and fabrication processes
  • Responsible to primarily support Assumption, IL rollforming/ press area/ fabrication with secondary support of Na Grain and Protein operations
  • Required to possess the ability to resolve both routine and recurring technical problems, (the day to day issues).  Also needs to have the ability to design tooling solutions to end the recurring issues.  Must have the ability to identify and work with key stakeholders to develop an acceptable solution for all.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
  • Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances.
  • Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts.
  • Measuring and marking metal stock for machining.
  • Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
  • Cutting and shaping blocks to specified dimensions.
  • Filling, grinding, and shimming metals to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Fitting and assembling tools and die parts.
  • Inspecting finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.
  • Conducting test runs with completed tools and dies.
Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Ten years of tool making (milling/ machining, lathe turning, EDM machining) and maintenance experience, preferred
  • Ten years of mechnical troubeshooting, preferred
  • Must have the ability to assess current production and maintenance methods, identify opportunities, and develop an organized improvement plan to align with production goals/metrics
