The Impact You’ll Make in this Role 
As a Clinical Manager, Data Management you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: 
  • Lead a team of experienced Clinical Data Management professionals to ensure consistent practices are followed for the design, configuration and implementation of clinical trial databases
  • Working in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure effective solutions and to provide quality support to study teams
  • Understanding IT standards, while supporting strategic direction for data management tools and systems to be used in 3M-sponsored clinical trials
  • Providing staff motivation, mentoring and consistent leadership by ensuring design and implementation of databases run smoothly, conducting regular 1×1 meetings with staff members, developing, individual development plans and providing consistent feedback to foster growth within the team.
Your Skills and Expertise   
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years of combined work experience in the Life Sciences industry (Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and/or Medical Device) in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience developing, coaching and providing direction to direct reports and working groups
  • Experience working with Data Management in the Clinical Trial industry that includes an understanding of regulations and laws over data privacy
  • Experience working with electronic data capture (EDC) that includes building, validating and decommissioning clinical databases
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 
  • Master’s degree in a Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Data Management experience with medical device clinical trials
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience implementing CDISC Standards
  • Certification(s) that include: Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM®) by the Society for Clinical Data Management
