Manufacturing Process Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: 
  • Driving Voice of the Customer to respective products and processes being supported
  • Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness of assigned processes
  • Initiating and leading Lean Six Sigma (LSS) improvement projects
  • Driving Capital Investment, New Product Introduction and New Technologies to Increase Manufacturing Capabilities
  • Efficiently troubleshooting defects and variation, performing root cause analysis and applying systemic problem-solving skills and robust solutions
  • Managing documentation of product quality, process understanding and specifications
  
Your Skills and Expertise  
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start date) from an accredited institution​
  • Three (3) combined years of Manufacturing, Lab and/or Engineering experience​
  
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: 
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or manufacturing technology role
  • Demonstrated use of skills and knowledge of equipment, systems, materials, processes, and procedures to solve manufacturing problems​
  • Six sigma project leadership experience
  • Effective project management skills with proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Ability to understand and apply lean, analytical and statistics tools 
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and across multiple disciplines.
