Purpose
As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will provide mechanical engineering services to Company, and its Customers and may provide technical support and supervision within the mechanical team. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Identify and report changes to project scope;
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules;
  • Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders;
  • Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanical engineering.
  • If required, assist and support junior personnel within the mechanical engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with the mechanical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4 to 8 years of experience the analysis, design and implementation of major engineering infrastructure, preferably in the transportation, oil and gas or mining and materials sectors.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering; graduate degree a plus
  • Acquired EIT certification, with plans to get PE certification
  • Ability to use CADD and other design software such as Autodesk, Revit Structural or Cadworx
  • Proven ability to be an active and participatory member of an engineering oriented team
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
