In This Role
  • Support the mechanical design team by performing tasks such as design, and development support for aerospace structures and generate detailed design of primary and secondary structures.
  • Create CAD models, interface drawings, and detailed build-to-print drawings, release drawings/models to engineering configuration control vault, and perform varied tasks with direction from a senior lead engineer
  • Research, plan, design and develop mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems for flight as well as ground systems
  • Participate in issue resolution, developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience with creating 3D designs in CREO or equivalent software
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Principals
  • Familiar with requirements development for aerospace, spacecraft, or missiles
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly security clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of drafting techniques and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of mechanical modeling and analysis tools, such as CREO, Nastran, Thermal Desktop
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
