Seeking a Full Time Nurse Educator (Education/ Employee Heath / Infection Control)
Position Summary:
The Nurse Educator (functions as the Infection Control / Nurse Educator/ Employee Health) is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Infection Control Program, assuming direct responsibility for infection surveillance and reporting, and providing technical support and education for the hospital staff. The Nurse Educator is also responsible nursing staff education and training, and for the employee health compliance program. The Nurse Educator is also responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating; reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN/LVN/MHT staff required training.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in nursing, or related health field is preferred. Master’s Degree preferred. Combination of education and experience considered.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience in education and Infection Control Prevention/improving organizational performance within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting.
Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of JOINT COMMISSION, State of Ohio standards, CMS standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
