PhD Economist

We are seeking a Full-Time Economist to join our Antitrust/Competition Policy practice. The candidate should have a PhD in Economics (or has sufficiently completed all PhD coursework) from a leading university.

The ideal candidate would have one or two years of experience in litigation consulting or similar practical experience, but this is not a requirement. The Economist will assist team in all aspects of its antitrust engagements, including mergers, monopolization and abuse of dominance, horizontal coordination and class certification. Specific job requirements include:

Exceptional econometric skills
Practical experience organizing and performing empirical analysis using large datasets
World-class analytical skills, including work with statistical software packages (SAS, STATA, etc.)
Strong writing skills and ability to summarize technical work in non-technical terms
Concentration in industrial organization preferred, though not required
Ability to organize and manage case projects, including directing staff efficiently and effectively
Ability to function effectively under tight time pressure and ability to maintain flexible work schedule to meet internal and external deadlines
