Registered Dietician
Job Summary
This position is under the direction and supervision of a licensed, Registered Dietitian. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutrition care and education to patients and/or caregiver(s). Evaluates patients’ nutritional status, develop and implement care plans, assess nutrient requirements, recommends nutrition prescriptions, evaluates patient tolerance and effectiveness, as well as communicates information to physicians and other health care professionals.
Accountabilities
* The Dietitian/Nutrition Specialist is responsible for providing nutrition services associated with Nutrition Solution’s programs and consulting/partnership arrangements with other business entities. Reviews, updates, plans and coordinates patient nutrition care. 35%
* Utilizes independent decision making in the nutritional management of patients. Plan, facilitate, and evaluate the nutrition education components of the program. Complete individual nutrition assessments and dietary plans for specific needs. 25%
* Manage and maintain accurate client appointment schedule. Design and prescribe nutrition programs integrating specific product recommendations. Conduct nutrition follow up sessions. Plan and facilitate grocery shopping tour, cooking classes, and other nutrition demonstrations. Promote Nutrition Solutions nutrition services and products.

* Serves as an educational resource to interdisciplinary staff within the System as well as to medical professionals in the community. 10%
* Complete nutrition profiles, assessments of clients. Provide effective nutritional counseling. Promotes standards for nutritional care for System. Conducts other duties as assigned. 10%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree- Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition or Food Service, Sports Medicine or related field.

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
RD – REGISTERED DIETICIAN – REGD
RD – REG DIETICIAN – SC – C031
Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)
Must have SC license within 30 days of hire.
Other Required Experience
1-2 years clinical nutrition experience-Preferred
