Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing, Life Science Research – Metabolomics & Lipidomics

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities, and Required Interactions:Do you want to own the business strategy for metabolomics and lipidomics within life science research market and be accountable for the continual re-evaluation of market trends, external drivers, and competitive landscape? Join our team! This position leads the go-to market strategy to ensure revenue sustainment and continued growth by establishing a right to play in new adjacencies to drive expansion. He / She ensures that Company creates a differentiated position for key products and workflows based on a deep understanding of market segmentation, customer challenges, needs, and buying criteria. The Senior Global Strategic Marketing Manager will develop the strategic global marketing plan, aligned with the commercial organization, to drive growth, fuel demand generation, and improve win rate. Owns the articulation of critical market problems and the value assessment of any opportunities such problems create. Contributes to the ideation process, P2P, IRL, Roadmap and Incubation as required.
Key responsibilities:
  • Define market strategy (1-3 year): Build the growth bridge, market segmentation, mekkos for market/target markets. Monitor business results to track key revenue metrics within the market
  • Evaluate the market by continually re-evaluating market trends, key persona needs, customer problems, competitive intelligence and the competitive landscape
  • Develop global marketing strategy (1-3 year): Drive growth bridge performance through strategic marketing initiatives, fuel demand generation and build preference. Align with business and regional commercial teams to achieve growth targets.
  • Ensure continued market adoption and sustained revenue stream for company technology in metabolomics within Life science research
  • Drive creation of value propositions and competitive differentiated positioning for key company products/workflows
  • Own new products/solutions outbound launches and contribute to LEx Product Launch Plan
  • Implement standard work and communications to maintain global and commercial team alignment
  • Develop integrated campaigns, high-value content, and sales tools, both physical and digital, that deliver growth
  • Identify customer problems that have an impact, problems which are urgent, pervasive, which people are willing to pay
  • Contribute to Ideation – Participate in P2P when needed and IRL (1-2 per year) process as appropriate, and conduct Customer Insight efforts (VOC collection) when needed to ensure the needs of the market are well understood.
  • SME Market – contribute to roadmap workshop and incubation workshop
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 7+ years’ experience in life sciences marketing, sales, and/or technical role
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a Biological or Chemical Science; MS or PhD preferred; demonstrated experience in marketing, business administration, or related field
  • Broad understanding of mass spectrometry technology; technical competency in one or more specific mass spec application areas highly desired
  • Extensive knowledge of the life science research market, trends, and segments
  • Clear thinker with the ability to translate market knowledge into impactful and differentiating value propositions, aligned to target customer personas
  • Willingness to travel (internationally). Up to 30%
