Senior Manufacturing Supervisor

As a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Driving world class safety culture into daily operations
Leading quality continuous improvement efforts
Budgeting responsibility for team and work group
Managing production supervisors and team members with clearly defined roles
Leading cross functional teams and programs to drive continuous improvement
Implementing Lean principles into existing manufacturing process
Tracking key metrics in the manufacturing process and communicating to employees and management
Communicating with internal and external clients
Providing training on key manufacturing concepts
Resolving issues and conflicts related to direct reports

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Master’s degree or higher in (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
B.S. degree in engineering/business or related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Three (3) years in a leadership position in a private, public, government or military environment
Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing
Skills include, ability to develop people and build a culture of trust and cooperation
Excellent verbal and written skills
