Senior Sintering Engineer
The Senior Sintering Engineer reports to the CTO or the VP of Cathode Development. In such position, the Employee shall be responsible for the Company’s next generation of ultra high quality cathode materials sourced from recycled materials, specifically the sintering of new cathode products produced from precursors generated from spent lithium ion batteries.
Primary duties  
• Develop sintering profiles for high nickel NMC
• Lead the transition of sintering profiles from box scale lab furnaces to RHKs
• Working with other members of the engineering team to provide quality control on the incoming solution for NMC precursor synthesis and outgoing NMC cathode material
• Establish heat treatment profiles for coating processes
• Establish quality controls for cathode sintering, coating and sizing
• Working with product development team to ensure the material meets customer specifications and is of the highest quality with zero defects
• Additional duties, authority, and responsibilities may be determined from time to time by the CTO, as consistent with the Employee’s position.
• The Employee shall use their reasonable best efforts, judgment, and energy to improve and advance the business and interest of the Company in a manner consistent with the duties of his position and with the Company’s ethical, legal, and professional standards
Qualifications and experience:  
BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering Experience: 5-7 years industry experience directly working on cathode materials in qualification or development
• Demonstrated expertise with complex materials engineering solutions • Knowledge of current state of the art lithium-ion battery material production process
• Experience with cathode materials COA formulation and evaluation • Sound understanding of electrochemical processes in lithium-ion batteries
• Understanding of standardized cell test methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of solid-state physics and chemistry
• Detailed record keeping and statistical analysis
• High sense of responsibility, excellent coordination ability, communication ability and overall management ability, strong pressure resistance ability
• Using MS Office tools like Word, EXCEL, Outlook, Project
• Fluency in English Physical and Environmental Requirements:
• Capable of wearing task specific personal protective equipment including dust mask, respirator, safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses/face shield
• Capable of meeting OSHA standards for manual lifting guidelines: < 50lbs
• While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
